All cadets progress through the training system through lessons on squadron, through self-study or by doing projects or activities. Any cadet can gain a classification as long as they have the knowledge and experience, as long as they go through them in order.

Remember that it's not just classification that is important to your progress through the ATC. Shooting and marksmanship principles, citizenship training, drill, activities away from squadron including Air Experience flying, Flying Scholarships, visits to RAF stations and airfields, and project work are all important too.
